I work on trasncreation, localisation and conceptual copy.

Qatar | Expo 2022 Floriade

For this project, I copyedited 4,000 words of text for the display boards and audio guide at Expo 2022 in Floriade, Netherlands.

Because I was working from a single script for both media, I had to strike a balance.

The signs needed to be easy read, but the audio script required a more natural cadence for the British voice actor.

The word count had to be tight because space was limited on the displays. However, the sentence fragments didn’t flow well in English and would have caused the actor some trouble on the microphone.
